Another hot and humid day, with clouds beginning to build into the
region from the north. Showers and thunderstorms have developed
and continue to push south through northeast Illinois, tracking
toward east central Illinois. Temperatures this afternoon were
very hot, in the 90s...with heat index values in the low 100s.

Clouds will continue to increase from north to southeast, as a
system tracks along the ridge axis in eastern Illinois. Showers
and thunderstorms will be expected across eastern Illinois this
afternoon and evening, with severe possibilities due to damaging
winds and isolated large hail. Locations in west central and
southwest Illinois will remain dry through much of the day,
however some development of showers and storms could occur this
evening into overnight. Hot and humid conditions will continue
into the new work week, with heat indicies topping out in the low
100s.

Lows across the region tonight, will remain mild, dropping to the
mid 60s to low 70s. Highs Monday will climb back into the low 90s
around most of the Midwest.
