.SHORT TERM...(Today through Monday night)

A mid/upper ridge over the Central High Plains is progged to build 
slowly north and east across the Central Plains as we move through 
the weekend. As it does, deep layer easterly flow will develop on 
the southern periphery of the H5 ridge leading to mostly benign 
weather conditions across the area. A subtle shortwave trough is 
progged to move southwest around the H5 ridge and inserted some 
low probabilities for an isolated storm or two across mainly 
southeast KS today as the airmass remains buoyant and weakly 
capped. Maintained the heat advisory for a sliver of our area as 
heat indices waver around 105 across portions of our central KS 
counties. Temperatures will remain warm today but deep layer 
easterly flow will allow values to moderate as we move into Sun & 
Mon and additional heat headlines are not anticipated.

.LONG TERM...(Tuesday through Friday)

The mid/upper ridge across the Central Plains is progged 
to break down at the beginning of the period as a shortwave trough 
lifts out of the Southern Plains region bringing at least a subtle 
increase in pops across the area on Tue-Thu. Rising heights and 
increasing thickness may return towards the end of the period but 
maintained low pops across the area with seasonably mild 
temperatures.

VFR conditions will prevail area wide throughout the TAF period 
with light southerly winds and mostly clear skies. However, a low
chance of VCSH possible this evening at KCNU.
