At 2:30 AM, National Weather Service radars detected a line of showers and thunderstorms in Southeast Kansas moving into Washington and Nowata counties in Northeast Oklahoma. A gust front out ahead of the line of storms was also pushing southeast across Northern Osage to Northern Nowata counties. Wind gusts in excess of 40 mph have been observed with the gust front. This activity was moving southeast around 35 mph. Through 4:00 AM, the line of showers and thunderstorms is expected to continue moving into Northeast Oklahoma...mainly north of a line from Barnsdall to Vinita to Miami. Gusty winds of 40 to 50 mph and small size hail will be possible with the stronger storms along with gusts of 30 to 50 mph possible along the leading gust front. $$
