743 FNUS55 KPUB 202008 FWFPUB Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado National Weather Service Pueblo Co 208 PM MDT Thu Jun 20 2019 .Discussion... Most of the district will remain dry today with only isolated thunderstorm chances over the high terrain, Pikes Peak region, and far eastern plains. Thunderstorm chances increase on Friday, especially for areas north of HWY 50, and across much of the forecast area for this weekend. Near-critical to critical fire weather conditions are expected across parts of the plains and high valleys today as increasingly dry and strong westerly to southwesterly flow aloft spreads across the region. This will result in very warm temperatures and low RH values at the surface, as well as deep vertical mixing drawing gusty winds to the surface. However, recent rainfall has led to non-critical fuels, so fire weather highlights are not warranted. Ventilation rates will become excellent across most of the district this afternoon and Friday afternoon. --- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds --- COZ220-202215- Upper Arkansas River Valley Including Lake County and Chaffee County- 208 PM MDT Thu Jun 20 2019 .REST OF TODAY...
