precipitation for the next 24 hours.

through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe 
passage.

Forecast information for
  Osage River near St. Thomas.
* At 09AM Wednesday the stage was 19.0 feet.
* No flooding is currently forecast.
* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* The river is forecast to fall to near 17.9 feet by tomorrow 
  morning.
* At 17.0 feet... At least 5 acres of farmland are flooded near the 
mouth of Profits Creek downstream of the gauge.
