At 750 PM MDT...National Weather Service doppler radar showed isolated and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms still ongoing across portions of south central New Mexico and far west Texas. The stronger storms were tracking east across Dona Ana, into western El Paso, and over Hudspeth county, but other storms were in Luna, and Otero counties. The storms have been weakening but they still present a threat for small hail, gusty winds, and brief heavy rainfall. Additional storms may still develop through the evening, but the activity is expected to diminish sharply in the hour or so after sunset. Until then, there is still some potential for a couple of storms to become severe and produce hail and wind capable of damage and injury. If any storm approaches your location, seek shelter as it passes. $$ Bird
