The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Northwestern New Hanover County in southeastern North Carolina...
  Southwestern Pender County in southeastern North Carolina...
  Northeastern Brunswick County in southeastern North Carolina...

* Until 730 PM EDT.

* At 428 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
  Up to two to three inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Wilmington, Leland, Northwest, Hightsville, Phoenix, Wrightsboro,
  Wilmington International Airport, Navassa and New Hanover Regional
  Medical Center.

Additional rainfall of two to three inches is expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
