Afternoon highs will range in the mid 70s to low 80s across the interior, while seabreezes cap highs at the coasts in the mid 60s to low 70s. A few showers and thunderstorms may impact western portions of Massachusetts and Connecticut late this afternoon and evening. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with areas of fog across Rhode Island and eastern Massachusetts. Lows will fall back into the 50s. A few sprinkles may dot the Cape and islands overnight in association with a low pressure area heading southeast of Nantucket. Sunday will be mostly cloudy with periods of sun. Showers and thunderstorms will start to move across the region from west to east during the afternoon and into the evening hours ahead of an approaching cold front. Afternoon highs will top out in the 70s across the interior, but onshore winds will cap highs in the mid and upper 60s along the coasts. Showers will exit east of Cape Cod Sunday night, behind which skies will clear. Lows will fall back into the mid 40s to mid 50s, from northwest to southeast. Most of Monday will be dry, however a few showers could pop up in the afternoon across the western half of the region. Afternoon highs will range in the 60s. Looking ahead, it will be dry on Tuesday with temperatures near seasonable. Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday and Thursday with temperatures slightly warmer.
