High res guidance suggests light shower activity continuing across eastern portions of the FA through the evening hours as the front progresses eastward. Skies will gradually clear from the west this evening, allowing lows to dip into the lower 60s across the north tonight. Surface high pressure will build into the region from the west on Friday, with upper level flow remaining northwesterly. This will result in a pleasant Friday, with temperatures in the low to mid 80s under clear skies. Dry conditions will prevail for much of the weekend, the only exception being early Sunday as possible remnants from a convective system move southward across eastern portions of the FA. Else, conditions will remain dry as another area of high pressure builds in from the north by early Monday. Weekend highs will be in the mid to upper 80s, with overnight lows generally in the 60s. An upper ridge sets up over the Gulf Coast early next week, with the local area on the northern periphery of the feature. This will allow temperatures to warm to near 90 again by midweek. The pattern will also become more typical of summertime, with daily chances for showers and thunderstorms beginning on Tuesday and continuing through the end of the period.
