.SYNOPSIS...Chances for showers and afternoon thunderstorms will
persist through Thursday. Dry and warmer weather is expected for
Friday through the weekend.

.DISCUSSION...
Though becoming warmer, a period of unsettled weather will still 
remain across northern AZ for the next couple days as we remain 
in a pattern of weak troughing. Daily chances for primarily 
afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms will develop 
through Thursday, with the best chances over the northern third of
the state. For Friday and the upcoming weekend, dry conditions 
are expected along with the long-delayed return to near normal 
daytime temperatures.

.AVIATION...For the 12Z package...Look for VFR conditions and 
generally light winds over the next 24 hours. Areas of showers and 
thunderstorms are expected to develop after 17Z primarily 
along/north of a KPRC-KSOW-KRQE line. Ceilings as low as 4 kft above 
ground level in storms. Erratic and gusty winds are possible in the 
vicinity of showers and storms. Activity diminishing by mid evening. 
Aviation discussion not updated for TAF amendments.

.FIRE WEATHER...Look for a chance of afternoon and evening showers 
and thunderstorms today from the Mogollon Rim northward. Activity 
will turn more isolated on Thursday, primarily north of Interstate-
40. Otherwise, light winds and warmer temperatures. The Haines Index 
ranging from 3 to 4.

Friday through Sunday...Expect warm temperatures and drier 
conditions. Breezy afternoon southwest winds will return, especially 
on Saturday and Sunday.
