Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be moving through the Gila
region and southern Luna county into western Sierra and Dona Ana
counties over the next couple of hours. These storms will produce
little to no rain, but dry lightning and wind gusts over 50 mph
which will create localized areas of blowing dust and visibilities
under a half mile are possible. Motorists are urged to use caution
if coming upon an area of dust crossing the road as visibilities
could drop to zero very quickly.
