603 FNUS55 KPUB 221637 FWFPUB Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado National Weather Service Pueblo Co 1037 AM MDT Wed May 22 2019 .Discussion... Another upper trough digging across the Great Basin and Desert Southwest today, will lift out across western Colorado and into the Northern Rockies through the day Thursday. This will keep cool temperatures in place, with chances for showers and a few embedded thunderstorms across the Continental Divide Today through Thursday, with generally light snow accumulations expected across the higher peaks through the period. Further east, isolated to scattered showers will be possible tonight and Thursday, with chances of thunderstorms along the Kansas border. Warmer and drier weather remains in the offing for Friday and through the upcoming holiday weekend, though can't rule out a few afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms over and near the higher terrain, as well as near the Kansas border. Smoke dispersion is expected to good or better across the district this afternoon and again tomorrow. --- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds --- COZ220-222215- Upper Arkansas River Valley Including Lake County and Chaffee County- 1037 AM MDT Wed May 22 2019 .REST OF TODAY...
