The Flash Flood Watch continues for * Portions of CENTRAL ARKANSAS, NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS, SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS, SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS, and WESTERN ARKANSAS, including the following areas, in CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Conway, Faulkner, Garland, Grant, Lonoke, Perry, Pope, Prairie, Pulaski, Saline, White, and Yell. In NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Cleburne and Van Buren. In SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS, Bradley, Cleveland, Jefferson, and Lincoln. In SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS, Calhoun, Clark, Dallas, Hot Spring, Ouachita, and Pike. In WESTERN ARKANSAS, Logan, Montgomery, Polk, and Scott. * From Wednesday morning through Thursday morning * Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are expected Wednesday into early Thursday across the watch area, with locally higher amounts possible in southwest sections of the state. The watch includes locations south and west of Mena, Booneville, Clinton, Des Arc, and Warren. * Much of the region has experienced above to well above average rainfall for weeks. The soil is saturated, and many rivers and lakes are at elevated levels. As a result, flash flooding is a huge concern, as well as a prolonged period of river flooding.
