At 10 PM, National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated showers and thunderstorms developing across Osage and Pawnee counties in northeast Oklahoma. This activity was moving eastward around 20 mph. Additional strong to severe thunderstorms were ongoing across north central Oklahoma and southern Kansas. This activity was pushing east and southeast and approaching northeast Oklahoma. Through midnight, showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue to develop and push into northeast Oklahoma...generally along and west of a line from Bristow to Nowata. These thunderstorms are forecast to develop into a complex and push east southeast through the region. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible with large hail and locally damaging winds the main threats. Locally heavy rainfall with rain rates greater than one inch per hour could be possible within the stronger storms. A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the western half of northeast Oklahoma until 4 AM. $$
