Near the surface high pressure centered mostly over the western Atlantic stretching west across the deep south will build or retrograde slightly to the west through tonight, leading to increased subsidence in the boundary layer, which results in more sun than clouds today along with very pleasant humidity levels near the surface through this afternoon. A slightly better onshore flow develops later today and tonight which allows for better low level moisture to advect northward over much of the forecast area in the near term. With the better moisture gradually increasing near the surface in the near term some patchy fog will be possible over most inland areas early this morning followed by better coverage late tonight and early Tue morning, especially over the lower half of the forecast area. As a result will continue monitor the fog threat closely and issue advisories if needed. With the better subsidence in the boundary layer day and nighttime temps will be slightly warmer than seasonal levels. Highs today will climb to the middle to upper 80s generally north of the I-10 corridor, with the warmer temps generally over the eastern half of the forecast area, and the middle to upper 70s near the immediate coast. Lows tonight will range from the upper 50s to lower 60s for most inland areas generally along and north of the I-10 corridor and the middle 60s further south stretching to the immediate coast. 32/ee SHORT TERM /Tuesday Through Wednesday night/...An upper ridge will remain in place over the area Tuesday into Wednesday as a front remains stalled northwest of the area. Moisture levels will continue to increase across the area as a light southeast flow prevails. An isolated shower is possible on Wednesday as deep layer moisture increases, however most areas will remain dry. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s. /13 LONG TERM /Thursday Through Sunday/...The upper ridge breaks down late in the week as an upper trough approaches the area. This will send a cold front toward the area on Saturday which stalls across the northern Gulf Saturday night. The front then returns northward on Sunday. The approaching trough and front will bring increasing rain chances Friday into Saturday and continuing into Sunday. Highs each day will be mostly in the mid 80s and lows typically range from the lower 60s inland to the mid/upper 60s near the coast. /13 MARINE...A light to moderate southerly wind flow will continue through much of the week as a broad surface ridge of high pressure stretches from the western Atlantic to the north central Gulf through Fri. Seas will build slightly through the week due to the continued onshore flow. Better rain chances can be expected Thu through Fri. 32/ee && .MOB WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES... AL...None. FL...None.
