827 FNUS55 KPUB 201301 FWFPUB Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado National Weather Service Pueblo Co 701 AM MDT Sat Apr 20 2019 .Discussion... Warm and breezy to windy conditions will spread across the district today. Critical fire weather conditions would be a concern given low forecast humidity levels, however fuels have entered green up and will not be as receptive to fire. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will develop over the mountains this afternoon with some high based showers producing gusty winds but little to no rain expected to spread off the mountains into the adjacent plains during the late afternoon and evening. These will diminish after sundown. A slow moving weather system will move into the Desert Southwest bringing a period of cooler and unsettled weather for Sunday through Tuesday as it moves across CO and NM. Rounds of showers and isolated embedded thunderstorms can be expected in and near the mountains with the best chance for rain and high elevation snow expected Monday into early Tuesday morning. Drier and warmer weather will return for the remainder of next week, though sufficient moisture will be present for isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms over the mountains each day. Surface based inversions will break for most areas by 10 AM with smoke dispersion rates rising to the excellent category across southern CO. Inversions will redevelop after 2000 but will remain weak along the lee side of the mountains given enhanced westerly downslope flow. Very good to excellent dispersions will return for Sunday afternoon. --- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds --- COZ220-202215- Upper Arkansas River Valley Including Lake County and Chaffee County- 701 AM MDT Sat Apr 20 2019 .TODAY...
