VFR conditions will prevail next 24 hours. Convective temps will be too high Fri afternoon for cu development, and very little mid/high cloud is expected. Sfc winds will generally veer to the NE-E overnight, then go light and variable Fri as the sfc high moves through the terminals. && .PREV DISCUSSION... /issued 155 PM CDT Thu Apr 18 2019/ DISCUSSION... Dry northwesterly flow aloft will continue through the short term across the region. This flow will allow another weak reinforcing front to move through the area tonight keeping temperatures near normal through Friday night. By Saturday through Monday a regime change will take place as west to southwest flow aloft develops with much above normal temperatures and dry weather expected in low level thermal ridging and downslope flow. There is hope for thunderstorms by late Monday through the middle of next week as an upper level storm system digs slowly southeast from the Rockies into the southern Plains and interacts with a dryline and then a cold front. Temperatures should cool back to near or below normal by next Tuesday/Wednesday behind the front. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
