Many locations west of I 57 reported snow this morning, as well. A few locations reported greater than one inch, with 2 inches or more across locations west of I 55 . Temperatures across the area late this morning, ranged from 32 degrees at Bloomington and Lacon, to 47 degrees at Lawrenceville. A large storm system centered over the lower Mississippi River Valley, will track northeast into the Great Lakes by tonight. This will produce widespread rainfall from Missouri, into Illinois, and the Ohio Valley, where 1 to 2 inch rain totals are possible by late tonight. On the northwest fringe of the storm system, where colder temperatures will be found today, accumulating snow is expected. Up to a few inches of wet snow could fall from near the Illinois River Valley, northeast towards southern Lake Michigan. Behind this system, dry and mild weather will return to the Midwest, for the start of the work week. High temperatures today will range from the middle 30s across northern Illinois, to near 70 degrees across southern Indiana. Overnight low temperatures, will range from the 20s across Wisconsin, to the middle 40s across west central Missouri. $$ JRP
