Increasing southeast winds over the Atlantic today will lead to a strong northward flowing longshore current in the surf zone today. Rip currents will also be present near piers and jetties. If you find yourself being pulled northward in the surf today, do not attempt to swim directly against the current. Instead, either swim to shore, or close enough to where you can walk back up to the point you came from. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.
