Weather hazards expected... Elevated lightning risk. Limited non thunderstorm wind risk. Elevated fire weather risk. DISCUSSION... Some gusty winds will remain possible into the evening some some gusts into the 20 to 30 mph range. Thunderstorms remain possible ahead of the frontal boundary over the far eastern Ozarks region late this afternoon into the early evening. While severe storms are not expected, some cloud to ground lightning will be possible. Some spotty temperatures around the freezing mark are expected tonight over extreme southeast Kansas and far western Missouri. A widespread hard freeze is not expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. A storm system will move across the region Saturday evening into Sunday. Between one and two inches of rain will be possible which may lead to localized flooding.
