These conditions are ahead of the next system moving into the Midwest. Temperatures around the area at 4 PM, ranging widely from the degrees at Lacon, to degrees at Lawrenceville. A strengthening low pressure system in the Plains will bring an active weather pattern to the Midwest as it slides northeast, to the Upper Midwest on Thursday, and to the northern Great Lakes on Friday. Gusty winds have started to increase across the area late Thursday and will continue through Friday. Wind advisories are posted across much of the region. The weather system will move into the Midwest on Thursday spreading showers and thunderstorms. Some of these storms may be strong to severe especially across southern Wisconsin and and much of Illinois. The strongest are expected in east central Illinois. Temperatures on Thursday are expected to be above normal, but drop on Friday to below normal through the weekend. Low temperatures tonight, will range from the middle 20s across northern Wisconsin, to the middle 60s across tithe southeastern half of Missouri, and far western Kentucky. High temperatures on Thursday, will range from the middle 30s across northern Wisconsin, to near 80 degrees across western Kentucky. $$ EJL
