Otherwise skies were cloudy over the remainder of central and southeast Illinois. Early morning temperatures ranged from 41 in Bloomington, to 55 in Effingham. A strong low pressure system developing over the Plains today, will bring an active weather pattern to the Midwest, for the next couple of days. Rain showers are expected to lift north into the upper Midwest today. Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible over portions of Illinois and Indiana for Thursday afternoon and evening, as a strong cold front pushes through the region. Very windy conditions will dominate the area through Friday, as the strong low pressure system pushes into the western Great Lakes. High temperatures today will range from the upper 30s in northern Illinois, to the lower 80s in central Missouri. Lows tonight will range from the mid 30s in northern Illinois, to the mid 60s in central Missouri. $$
