.A quick moving upper trough could bring strong winds to the
Guadalupe and Delaware Mountains on Wednesday. Conditions should
improve Wednesday evening as the system moves east.

WEDNESDAY EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Midland/Odessa has issued a High
Wind Watch, which is in effect from Wednesday afternoon through
Wednesday evening. 

* TIMING...Wednesday afternoon and evening.

* WINDS...West 35 to 45 mph gusting to 60 mph.

* IMPACTS...People driving high-profile vehicles should be very
  cautious traveling in the mountains, particularly in a north 
  and south direction.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph, or gusts of
58 mph or stronger may occur. Continue to monitor the latest
forecasts.
