Some showers will be possible north of I-40 Tuesday evening through Wednesday. && .DISCUSSION...Spring weather will be in full swing this week, with a warm start to the week on Monday and Tuesday. A cold front will move through the area Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing gusty winds Tuesday, with showers developing Tuesday afternoon and Evening and continuing through Wednesday. The gusty southwest winds will be widespread ahead of the cold front. Current forecast speeds look to be slightly below wind advisory criteria at the moment, with some isolated locations possibly reaching criteria. The shower activity Tuesday afternoon and into Wednesday looks to remain mainly north of I-40, with the bulk of the precipitation occurring north of the Utah state line. A ridge of high pressure looks to build into the area Thursday with models suggesting another shortwave trough moving through the area again on friday. Confidence is not high over the timing and impacts of this this continuation of an active spring weather pattern, but high impact weather is not anticipated at this time. && .AVIATION...For the 12Z Package...Expect VFR conditions through the 24 hour period, with light south to southwest afternoon winds.
