Weather hazards expected... Limited lightning risk. Limited non thunderstorm wind risk. Elevated fire weather risk. DISCUSSION... Gusty southerly winds are likely through early this evening. Gusts over 30 mph can be expected at times, especially across southeastern Kansas and western Missouri. The gusty winds will combine with the warm and dry conditions the remainder of the afternoon to create an elevated fire weather risk. Fires will have the potential to rapidly spread in these conditions. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible overnight tonight into early Thursday morning. Cloud to ground lightning strikes will be the main risk with any storms. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Showers will become more widespread on Thursday, especially north of Highway 60 as a front stalls across central Missouri. Embedded thunderstorms will occur at times. A cold front will sweep through the region later Friday into early Saturday morning. Thunderstorms will develop along the front. A few strong to severe storms may be possible. Large hail and damaging wind gusts would be the primary severe weather risks. There will also be the potential for some heavy rainfall as well. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
