...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM PDT MONDAY FOR
THE MOUNTAINS OF LOS ANGELES, VENTURA, AND SANTA BARBARA
COUNTIES...

.A cold upper level low pressure system will bring a threat of
snow showers to the local mountains through tonight. With the 
deepest moisture and greatest instability this afternoon and 
evening, this will be the period of greatest concern for locally 
higher snow intensities. While the greatest snow accumulations are
expected above 4500 feet with this event, we could see snow 
levels locally falling as low as 3000 feet in heavier showers or 
thunderstorms.

MONDAY...

* WHAT...Snow. Accumulations of 2 to 4 inches expected above 4500
  feet, with local accumulations of 1 to 2 inches possible between
  3500 and 4500 feet, including Interstate 5 near the Grapevine.
  Snow levels could locally fall as low as 3000 feet in heavier
  showers this afternoon and evening.

* WHERE...Santa Barbara County Mountains and Los Angeles County 
  Mountains excluding the Santa Monica Range.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM PDT Monday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Be 
  prepared for reduced visibilities at times. Check the latest 
  roadway conditions for potential traffic delays and possible 
  closures. Interstate 5 near the Grapevine could be impacted by 
  accumulating snow with this event.

  near the Kern County line. Local accumulations of 1 to 2 inches
  are possible between 3500 and 4500 feet. The highest snowfall
  intensities are expected this afternoon and evening when there 
  is also a slight chance of thundersnow. Snow levels could 
  locally fall as low as 3000 feet in heavier showers or 
  thunderstorms during this period.

* WHERE...Ventura County Mountains.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM PDT Monday.
