Weather hazards expected... Limited hail risk. Limited lightning risk. Elevated fog risk. DISCUSSION... Areas of dense fog will occur across portions of south central and central Missouri through this morning. Showers and thunderstorms will develop and start to spread into southern Missouri and extreme southeastern Kansas late tonight into early Saturday morning. Strong to severe storms will be possible with hail in excess of quarters with a few of the strongest storms. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will be on going across the area Saturday morning as a cold front moves through the region. Strong to severe storms will remain possible with large hail the main risk. Gusty winds will occur on Saturday, with gusts around 40 mph expected at times. A dry air mass will spread into the area Saturday afternoon behind the front while temperatures remain warm. The gusty winds combined with the dry conditions could result in elevated fire conditions developing for grass land areas Saturday afternoon.
