Tallahatchie Canal...Tallahatchie River.

* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 39.0 feet on Friday February 22.
* Flood stage is 39.0 feet.
* At 39.0 feet...Low lying farm land is flooded in Northern Quitman 
  County

* At 6 AM Wednesday the stage was 32.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 33.0 feet on Saturday February 23.
* Flood stage is 33.0 feet.
* At 33.0 feet...Flooding is occurring along both banks of the river.

  the Tallahatchie River near Swan Lake
* from Thursday February 21 until further notice.
* At 10 AM Wednesday the stage was 25.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Thursday February 21 and 
  continue to rise to near 27.0 feet by Monday February 25. 
  Additional rises are possible thereafter.
* At 27.0 feet...Farmland flooding is occurring near the river.

  the Little Tallahatchie Canal at Etta near New Albany 
* from Wednesday February 20 until Thursday February 21.
* At 10 AM Wednesday the stage was 24.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 27.5 feet on Thursday February 21.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Wednesday February 20 and 
  continue to rise to near 27.5 feet by Thursday February 21.The 
  river may fall below flood stage by Thursday February 21.
* At 28.0 feet...Crop land flooding is very extensive and water 
  begins to cover County Highway 46. County Highway 47 has 1 to 2 
  feet of water over the unpaved portions. Evacuations become 
  necessary due to access problems.
