Temperatures will be seasonable with highs in the lower to middle 40s. Clouds will increase late today into tonight as a warm front approaches from the southwest. This will bring an increasing chance of showers to the region by early Friday morning. The showers may begin as a brief period of mixed precipitation across far northwestern sections. Lows Thursday night will range from the upper 30s across New York City and southern coastal sections, to the lower and middle 30s elsewhere. A cold front will then approach from the west during Friday continuing the threat of showers for the region. Highs will be in the lower to middle 50s. The front will clear the coast Friday evening bringing colder and drier air for the start of the weekend. $$
