High pressure will build off the DelMarVa coast through Monday. Meanwhile, an area of low pressure will develop southeast of Cape Hatteras Sunday before drifting out to sea Monday. Low pressure will then develop over the central Great Plains and track northeastward toward the Great Lakes Monday and Tuesday, bringing its trailing cold front through the Mid-Atlantic by Tuesday night. This front will bring the next chance of precipitation to the area. The front will stall near or just south of the area during the latter portion of the week as high pressure builds over southeastern Canada. Meanwhile, waves of low pressure will approach from the Ohio Valley, resulting in unsettled weather. $$
