Even with light winds, observed wind chill values were as low as the single digits above zero across northern Arkansas. Skies were mostly clear through the overnight hours save for stubborn cloudiness across northeastern portions of the state. We will see mostly clear skies through much of today as temperatures warm into the 40s and 50s. Far northeastern counties may struggle to reach 40 degrees, however. As winds become more southerly today and tonight, temperatures will continue to moderate with lows only falling into the upper 30s to upper 40s tonight. By tomorrow afternoon, readings in southern Arkansas may breach 60 degrees with 50s elsewhere. The warming trend will continue through the weekend with widespread readings in the 60s by Sunday and some locations in southern portions of the state may even reach 70 degrees. Minor rain chances are anticipated leading up to the weekend. More unsettled weather is expected next week as well with another strong front expected around mid-week. $$
