The flurries have generally been across the northern and eastern parts of the area. Temperatures around the area at 3 PM, ranged from 10 degrees at Lacon, to 33 degrees at Lacon. Additional chances for snowfall will continue throughout the weekend, as low pressure systems are carried along a jet stream in Canada. This will allow weak clippers to drop into the Northern Plains and continue to slide southeast to the Midwest. Colder air will continue to be ushered into the area as these clippers slide into the region. A cold front will slide through the Midwest late Monday, bringing frigid Arctic air into the Midwest during the mid-week period. Winds will increase Tuesday, creating dangerous wind chills in the 15 to 35 degrees below zero range, Tuesday night through Wednesday night. Highs will struggle to climb above zero for northern Illinois, single digits for central Illinois, and climb to near 20 along the Ohio River Valley. Lows tonight, will range from near 20 below zero across northern Wisconsin, to the lower 30s across southern Kentucky. Highs on Sunday, will range from the single digits above zero across Wisconsin, to the lower 50s across southwest Missouri. $$ EJL
