...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT ABOVE 4000 FEET FROM 4 AM TO
NOON PST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of up to one inch
  expected along with the possibility of black ice. Winds gusting
  as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...Kern County Mountains above 4000 feet. 

* WHEN...From 4 AM to noon PST Monday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on icy, slick, snow covered roads and
  winter driving conditions down to pass level. Motorists should
  prepare for travel delays and possible road closures. Highways
  impacted include Highway 58 through Tehachapi pass and Interstate
  5 through Tejon Pass. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving. Motorists
are urged to check ahead on road conditions before traveling 
through the Kern County mountain passes Monday morning.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM PST
MONDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of up to a foot 
  near Yosemite, with lesser amounts southward to Kings Canyon. 
  Winds may gust as high as 70 mph over the Sierra Crest.

* WHERE...Sierra Nevada from Yosemite to Kings Canyon. The snow 
  level will start at around 7,000 feet this afternoon, before 
  gradually falling to about 4,000 feet by Monday morning.

* WHEN...From noon today until 10 AM PST Monday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. 
  Hazardous road conditions could impact the morning commute. 
  Intense wind gusts could cause extensive tree damage. Wind 
  chill values as low as 20 below zero may cause frostbite on 
  exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
