...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for western and central Yavapai county as well
  as western Coconino county.

* Through this evening

* Widespread moderate to heavy rainfall is expected through today
  and into the evening. Portions of western and central Yavapai
  county have received 1 to 1.5 inches of rainfall overnight. An 
  additional 1 to 2 inches of rain will fall through this evening.

* Expect elevated water levels in creeks, streams, and washes
  today with flooding possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch Means That Developing Conditions May Lead To
Flash Flooding Within The Watch area.

People...especially those located along area creeks...rivers or 
other flash flood prone areas...should continue to monitor later 
forecasts and be prepared to take immediate action should flash 
flood warnings be issued.
