Snowfall of 1 to 4 inches will be possible by early Friday morning, with the greatest amounts expected over mountain areas. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday On Friday, widespread snow will fall over the mountains, the valleys, and the plains generally above 6000 feet. Below 6000 feet, mixed rain and snow will occur. Later Friday afternoon and evening, the precipitation over the Plains will change to all snow, with snow then diminishing from west to east into early Saturday morning. Total snow accumulations across the Sawatch and Mosquito Mountains, the Sangre de Cristo and Wet Mountains, Western and Central Fremont and Chaffee Counties, the Wet Mountain Valley, Teller County and Rampart Range will range from 4 to 8 inches and locally up to a foot, across the higher terrain, with 3 to 6 inches possible across the valleys. Snow fall of 3 to 6 inches can be expected across Northern El Paso County and the Palmer Divide, as well as the Raton Mesa and Southern I-25 Corridor, with a trace up to 2 inches expected across the rest of South Central and Southeast Colorado. Scattered snow showers can be expected over and near the higher terrain on Saturday, with local accumulations of up to an inch possible under the strongest showers. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
