The low stratus will continue to impact the KJCT over the next few
hours with MVFR ceilings around 1,200 to 1,500 feet. These low
clouds should remain confined to the south and should not reach
any other terminals. Expect the low clouds to dissipate quickly
after sunrise, and all terminals will have VFR conditions persist
through the rest of the TAF period. Winds will be out of the
west-northwest at less than 12 knots.

SHORT TERM...
(Today and Tonight)

..Warm temperatures continue with drier air returning...

The Pacific front will be exiting our area by the morning hours. In 
its wake, winds will shift to the west and filter in dry air into 
the region. With the downslope component of these westerly winds, 
temperatures will once again warm into the upper 60s to low 70s 
under mostly sunny skies. Expect another quiet night as clouds 
continue to dissipate and much of the region will see clear skies 
during the overnight hours. Temperatures will cool into the low to 
mid 40s.

LONG TERM...
(Tuesday through Monday)

Still focused on the storm system late in the week and the
rainfall chances for West Central Texas. Models continue to have
their differences, with the GFS farther south and wetter than the
ECMWF. Both models show high rainfall chances across the Hill
Country and Heartland so will continue the likely PoPs for those
locations, but will hold off on boosting rain chances farther
northwest across the Concho Valley and Big Country quite yet.
System exits to the east for the Weekend and leaves dry conditions
in its place.

As for temperatures, cold front moves across the area on Tuesday
an will drop readings back to near seasonal normals. Highs in the
50s for much of the remainder of the week, with morning lows in
the 30s and 40s.
