NORTHERN OREGON AND FAR SOUTHERN WASHINGTON WATERS...

The areas affected include...  
  Waters from Cape Shoalwater WA to Cascade Head OR from 10 to 60 
  nm...

At 634 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These 
thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 65 nm west of 
Point Grenville to 65 nm southwest of Columbia River Buoy 29, moving 
northeast at 35 knots.

Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters from about 
30 to 60 nm offshore.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.

This strong thunderstorms will likely produce winds to around 30
knots, and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A special marine
warning may eventually be required when these storms reach the
nearshore waters. Boaters should consider heading for shore before
these storms arrive.

Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
forecast office.
