At 327 PM EST, a severe thunderstorm producing waterspouts was
located 12 nm south of Jekyll Island, or 19 nm south of St. Simons
Island, moving east at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts in excess of 50 knots.

SOURCE...Emergency management.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
         hazardous seas. Boats could suffer significant structural 
         damage in high winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly 
         higher waves.

Buoy Hlha, High Point, Nassau Sound Approach Buoy 6a, Buoy F, Anna
Reef, Amelia City, Buoy Cdh, Jekyll Island, St Simons Island Village,
St. Simons Island, Saint Andrews Sound, Buoy Kby, Talbot Island,
Dungeness, Saint Marys Entrance Buoy 16, St Simons Sound Buoy 9,
Cumberland Island and Whittakers Snapper Hole Reef.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
