Thunderstorms have formed over parts of central Illinois this morning. Temperatures around the area at 6 AM were in the mid 60s to mid 70s. A stationary front in northern Illinois will keep chances for showers and thunderstorms in northern Illinois this morning. Another frontal system will shift toward the Midwest from the Northern Plains today. As this approaches, it will combine with the stalled out boundary spreading more showers and thunderstorms across the region. The wet weather will continue to dampen the weekend tomorrow, as more showers and storms will be possible as this system slowly begins to shift back north. High temperatures today, will range from the lower 50s in northern Iowa, to near 90 degrees in far southeast Missouri, and the lower Ohio River Valley. Low temperatures tonight, will range from the middle 40s across the central portions of Iowa and Wisconsin, to near 90 degrees in far southeast Missouri, and the lower Ohio River Valley. $$ EJL
