Locally numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms developed over northwestern Puerto Rico and across the western waters during the afternoon hours. Winds were mainly calm to light and variable and low temperatures were in the low 80s and in the low 70s along the mountain areas. In general, fair weather conditions will continue through the weekend, however quick passing showers will move at times mainly across the windward sections. Winds turn more east to northeast and diurnally induced afternoon showers are expected to affect mainly the west southwest areas of Puerto Rico each day. The next tropical wave is forecast to reach the islands around Monday. Across the regional waters, small craft operators should exercise caution across the coastal waters of north and south Puerto Rico due to winds between 15 and 20 knots. Seas are forecast at 5 feet or less and winds around 15 knots.
