North central Cibola County in west central New Mexico... * Until 230 PM MDT. * At 1228 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate to brief heavy rain due to thunderstorms tracking across the Diener Canyon and Bluewater wild fire burn scars. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Rainfall rates up to one- half or three-quarters of an inch per hour are possible through 130 PM MDT. * Some locations impacted due to the Diener Canyon scar include Forest Roads 480 and 504 as well as Ojo Redondo Campground and Post Office Flat. Some locations impacted due to the Bluewater scar include State Road 612 and Forest Road 178, Bluewater Creek, Bluewater Lake State Park and Bluewater Parking Area. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Both localized and distant heavy rainfall will create dangerous flows in arroyos and over low water crossings. Do not attempt to drive through these waters.
