Expect activity to taper as the evening continues. && .SHORT TERM...(This evening through Saturday) Issued at 201 PM CDT Fri Jul 27 2018 Weak northwest flow aloft with several weak perturbations will maintain at least a slight chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms through Saturday. Lack of cape and shear will keep the severe weather threat very low. Below normal temperatures will continue with lows tonight in the upper low to mid 50s and highs Saturday in the 70s. .LONG TERM...(Saturday night through Friday) Issued at 201 PM CDT Fri Jul 27 2018 The temperatures over the extended period will return to normal by early next week as the cool upper low over the Great Lakes region moves east allowing a more progressive flow to return to teh wester and central CONUS.
