...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 PM MDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN BACA COUNTY...

At 716 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to two inches of rain have already fallen with spotty locations 
around Pritchett receiving up to 3 inches.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pritchett and open country of northeast Baca county.

This includes the following streams and drainages...Bear Creek, Cat 
Creek, Lone Rock Draw as well as South and north Horse Creeks.  

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
