.SHORT TERM...(This evening through Friday night)

Isolated storms will linger into early evening roughly east of 
I-35. While an isolated microburst is possible, ordinary storms 
are expected.

Wednesday-Friday:

No precipitation is expected as upper ridge dominates pattern. 
Cannot rule out an isolated storm on Wednesday in southeast KS, 
but chances/coverage preclude mentioning at this point.
Initialization grids have small chances in central Kansas Friday
night, but this seems to be a function of the overly generous and
widespread precipitation from the GFS. Temperatures may edge up a
degree or two during the period with additional drying. Forecast 
heat indices remain below advisory criteria, with maximum values 
at most locations in the 98-102 range throughout the period.

.LONG TERM...(Saturday through Tuesday)

Main challenge this period will be timing arrival of cold front. 
Weak flow will make this challenging, with arrival contingent on 
getting a push as upper low moves across Canada driving surface 
high into the northern and eventually central Plains. Fairly 
decent agreement between GFS/ECMWF that this would be Sunday night
or Monday, which will also bring next decent chance of 
precipitation and slightly cooler temperatures. -Howerton

As was the case Mon afternoon & eve isold TSRA will fester across
SE KS til ~03Z but isold nature dictates leaving "VCTS" assignment
out KCNU, for now. VFR across all areas thru Wed night & likely
beyond as STRONG & DEEP high pressure maintains vice-grip on the
Great Plains. Diurnally-driven CU ~5,000ft will once again pop up
~18Z in all areas.
