...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT CLINTON AND NORTHEASTERN
FRANKLIN COUNTIES...

At 650 PM EDT, an isolated strong thunderstorm was located near Lyon 
Mountain, moving north at 5 mph.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm and 
brief heavy rain and a wind gust in excess of 30 mph are possible.

Locations impacted include...
Beekmantown, Schuyler Falls, Chazy, Saranac, Mooers, Altona,
Ellenburg Depot, Champlain, Bryants Mill, Lyon Mountain, Burke,
Clayburg, Merrill, Churubusco, Jericho, Chateaugay, Dannemora,
Peasleeville, Rouses Point and Ellenburg.

Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
