Recent rainfall has caused river levels at Nebraska City to rise. The river will crest early Friday morning just below flood stage before falling. With recent heavy rainfall that has occured over South Dakota, the river will begin to rise again by Sunday morning, and will hover near flood stage then rise above flood stage by Monday night. This Hydrologic Outlook is based on both observed and forecast precipitation. The rivers may respond differently than indicated...if actual precipitation is greater or less than expected.
