Temperatures this afternoon were reported in the 80s across the region. Dry weather through the afternoon will give way to clouds and the return of rainfall tonight. Developing storms in the Plains will progress eastward through the overnight, moving into the Midwest around midnight. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible overnight, as well as throughout Sunday, as a frontal system approaches. Some storms with both systems could be strong to severe. The wet weather looks to linger into the start of next week, with dry conditions forecast Tuesday. Lows tonight, will range from the middle 40s across southern Wisconsin, to the upper 60s in southern Missouri and the lower Ohio River Valley. Highs Sunday will be much cooler in the northern third of Illinois, with forecasted temps in the 60s to low 70s, while increasing to near 90 in far southern Illinois. $$
