This produced isolated thunderstorms, a few of which had large hail and damaging winds, in addition to locally heavy rain, over portions of central and eastern Illinois. High temperatures ranged from 75 in Peoria, to 92 in Lawrenceville. The front will continue to shift south of the area tonight, pushing the better rain chances near the Ohio Valley, through Thursday. High pressure building in from the north will bring dry and slightly cooler air into the region, though readings will remain several degrees above normal for the next several days. Low temperatures tonight will range from near 50 degrees in northern Illinois, to the upper 60s in southern Illinois. Highs on Wednesday will reach the lower 80s for much of the Midwest. $$
