COUNTIES UNTIL 1045 PM CDT...

At 939 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms 
along a line extending from 6 miles southwest of Verdigre to near 
Comstock. Movement was northeast at 35 mph.

Nickel size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Burwell, Taylor, Sargent, Ansley, Ewing, Chambers, Page, Comstock, 
Berwyn, Weissert, Westerville, Inman,Virginia Smith Dam, Sunfish 
Lake, and Homestead Knolls Campground. 

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 183 between mile markers 91 and 127.
 Highway 20 between mile markers 315 and 328.
 Highway 281 between mile markers 143 and 174.
 Highway 2 between mile markers 288 and 294.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

central and north central Nebraska.
