008 BMBB91 KBOI 130051 STQBOI *** weather.gov/spot archive status *** Hello, this is a new STQ notification product that will remind you to **Archive** inactive incidents within your service area on the http://weather.gov/spot/monitor/?wfo=boi page that have been inactive for longer than 10 days. Why: When the number of active incidents agency-wide reaches 815, no incidents will plot on the map. When it reaches 825, then no incidents will appear in the table below the map. The website becomes unusable for our customers when this happens. Root Cause: On weather.gov php scripts are allotted a maximum 128 mb of memory. Loading in information over 815 or more incidents exceeds the 128 mb max, so data does not appear on website. Solution: When the number of incidents reaches 750 or higher, I will transmit this STQ product once an hour until enough incidents are closed agency-wide. Only offices with inactive incidents 10 days or older will get these STQs, so the easy way to stop getting these STQ notifications is to close inactive incidents list below for your area of responsiblity. Please pass this message on to your Fire Weather Focal Point and MIC, so they can develop a policy to close inactive incidents on the new weather.gov/spot website.
